“What is your fear?”
That was a question asked by a teacher at Ichi’s school.
Ichi came home and talked about the question.
Ichi is scared of dogs, so he wrote ‘dog.’ But he was the only one who wrote that. Everyone else wrote ‘COVID-19.’
We stopped watching news on TV a few years ago. I don’t like starting my day with bad news because they affect my mood. If I’m in a bad mood, I’m not nice to my family. This is such an ill effect. It may be important to be aware of what’s happening in the world, but it’s more important for me to keep my spirits up by surrounding myself with nice things.
Media spreads fear by talking about Coronavirus all the time.
If you are exposed to such information everyday, of course you’ll get more scared of Coronavirus than you need. Seeing adults being scared, children get scared too.
“Dogs are much more scary than COVID.”
Ichi’s answer to his teacher’s question made his classmates laugh, apparently.
