    ]]>     In this 1 hour online workshop, Noriko will show you basic techniques to create Chigiri-e with newspaper.
    After the workshop, you’ll receive f    eedback from Noriko on your Chigiri-e work.

    For materials for the workshop, you’ll need:

    – A4 Cards or Watercolour Paper (I recommend fine grain watercolour paper 300gsm)
    – Brushes (watercolour/acrylic painting brushes in 2-3 different sizes; they don’t have to be fancy)
    – PVA glue (if you can find washable PVA glue, that would be the best)
    – Glue Container
    – Water Container
    – Newspapers
    – Plastic Sleeve (optional)

    Automatic drawing is about exploring the subconscious. It is one of the major contributions of the Surrealist movement to the Modern and Contemporary Art.

    In this course, Noriko will introduce work of automatic drawings by the Surrealists/Modern/Contemporary artists, psychics and spiritual artists, and her own experience on automatic drawing. Followed by a short meditation, you’ll be guided to create automatic drawings in black and white and then in colour. Noriko will also share blind contour drawing exercise as a tool to be present in the moment.
     
    Who is it for?
     

    This course is for anyone with an interest in automatic drawing. Just be curious and enjoy the process of tapping into your subconscious mind!


    What you need

    No artistic trainings or experiences required.
    You will need drawing materials of your choice, and a sketchbook or sheets of paper.
