Lockdown Cartoon #33: Morning Larks & Night Owls

Having the same parents, growing up in the same household, why can children be so different?
Ichi is a night owl, and Naomi is a morning lark. Getting Ichi out of bed in the morning isn’t easy.

“Why do I have to go to school in the morning?” Ichi asks.

“Because the sun rises in the morning.” That’s what I would say.

I think I’m a morning person. Because it feels natural to wake up as the sun rises and work during the day, and go to bed after sunset (it’s getting harder for me to get up early lately though. It’s winter after all. The sun doesn’t rise till 8am in the morning. So even for a morning person, it’s natural to wake up later in winter, I suppose).

Steve, on the other hand, who is a night owl like Ichi, said to Ichi.
“We all have to get up in the morning because the world is run by morning people.”

I could sense a bit of resentment in his voice. Oh well.
